Not Going Anywhere....



"Not Going Anywhere" is another of those short phrases often coming up in business. It has a very different meaning, depending on context, or even something more specific.

On the one hand, if an embattled leader says "I'm not going anywhere", it suggests a degree of defiance. On the other, if someone says "This project is going nowhere", it means that whatever it is doesn't look too promising and maybe should be cancelled.

That's a rather strong dichotomy and meaning obviously depends on whether a person is involved or not. Worth remembering...
