About Us

Talking Business – English was started by Mark Hudson in 2014.

Mark was educated at King’s College, Cambridge University, UK (MA Economics) and worked for more than 20 years as a banker in London, the United States (approx. 10 years), and also in emerging markets, including Latin America and Central/Eastern Europe.

Having left banking in 1998, Mark became a management and business policy consultant, with an emphasis on new and fast-growing markets. This has included programme-specific and non-executive positions. He specialises in the design and delivery of projects for capacity building in organisations, focusing in particular on the communication challenges of leadership and strategy.

Mark first became associated with London Business School in 1999, firstly as a consultant in reforming economies, and subsequently until 2014 as a relationship manager and programme director in international executive education.

Mark has travelled widely for professional and private reasons, visiting over 70 countries; he speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and German fluently, and French and Russian to a high level. He holds a Cambridge/RSA Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults.
